He hasn’t been on stage for years, but he has shown his abilities as one of Germany‘s finest vocalists in the backing choirs on countless album productions. Now he will hit the road with AVANTASIA. Many of you may remember the legendary German band HEAVENS GATE. No less a singer than Heavens Gate vocalist Thomas Rettke will join the flying opera on the road.

Good news is spreading around the world. A singer of German rock band DIE HAPPY – Marta Jandová is pregnant and her first child will be born just around the time of this year´s Masters Of Rock Festival. DIE HAPPY therefore cancels its this year’s show. Marta wanted a child very much, so Pragokoncert Agency, the festival organizers, would like to congratulate her  and we are already looking forward to seeing her at Masters Of Rock 2014, where was the show of DIE HAPPY already confirmed.

To the program instead of DIE HAPPY comes legendary American band PRONG led by charismatic Tommy Victor. He had to divide the last few years between touring with bands Ministry and Danzig and writing new material for Prong. He had all managed brilliantly, and so last year was released a new album PRONG ”Carved Into Stone”. PRONG finally returns to Masters Of Rock its old debt (in 2003, the first year of the festival, Prong didn´t arive) and this year they will definitelly play live at Ronnie James Dio Stage!

There’s another reason why to go to Masters of Rock this summer – Langsuyar with MOONSPELL confirmed, that they will show up on stage in Vizovice after one-year break. But it will be no ordinary visit – Portuguese quintet went thru its repertoire and realized it would be cool to refresh their devoted ones’ memories and to think back to times when (almost) all of us were 17-18 years younger.

Yep, during the July show MOONSPELL will play for us stuff from its first two cult albums„Wolfheart“ (1995) and „Irreligious“ (1996) only, which were in fans’ and critics’ opinions so successful.

Guys will play songs from albums which were released in mid 90′s – at the height of the European goth metal craze and they also sounds so. Fans of romantic shade of black get ready for the hot blood, which will pump up yours as well!

Century Media is re-releasing Moonspell‘s legendary album Antidote as a part of its 25th anniversary. This will be a special limited reissue on double CD. The second disc will include demo versions of album tracks and one previously unreleased song.

The “photobiography” book celebrating the 20th anniversary of Portuguese metallers MOONSPELL, titled “XX”, is now available to order by e-mailing geral@saidadeemergencia.com.

“XX” is available in both Portugese and English. It’s priced at 17.01 euros for the paperback, and 21.51 euros for the hardcover, plus shipping and handling.

MOONSPELL‘s new album, “Alpha Noir”, was released on April 27 via the band’s new label home, Napalm Records. The cover artwork for the CD is an intricate, marvellous and symbolic creation by Seth Siro Anton, the Greek artist who collaborated with the band on “Night Eternal”.

On the occasion of their 20th anniversary, Moonspell will publish photobiography that will contain some of the unknown details from the band’s long successful career.

The book will have its pre-premiere on December 21st during Moonspell’s concert in lisbon concert hall TMN. The band will present it in the company of their longtime friend and famous portuguese writer José Luis Peixoto.

The photobiography will be available starting from March next year.

Attention! Black Metal! (Vigyázat! Black Metal!) is the name of the new hungarian documentary that will be available for free download from December 29th, 2012.

The documentary talks about black metal and its more melodical subgenres.

Diversity of the genre and numerous prejudices that follow BM musicians and their fans have motivated the crators to film this movie. In it you will see Fernando Ribeiro i Mike Gaspar (Moonspell), Sakis (Rotting Christ), András Nagy (Sear Bliss), Byron Roberts (Bal-Sagoth), Nigel i Dylan (Hecate Enthroned) and many other prominent artists of the genre.

Along with the musicians, the creators have interviewed Tove Skarstein, Norway ambassador in Hungary.

PAIN – Tour kicks off on friday!

The gaping, sinister and black abyss has many faces – just like its musical offspring…for the second time, the INTO DARKNESS tour will crawl upon Europe! In time for the dawning of black winter days, a live package will start hitting clubs November 9th and boasting a line up full of dark gems of the widest stylistic variety: industrial metal, gothic tunes, melancholic doom – this tour has it all!
