Thursday, 22nd January, Klub Šibenčana in Zagreb, made guest of retrospective Davor Gobac’s exibition, frontman of our dear Psihomodo Pop. Exibition containes 17 pictures of recignizable Gobac style, which in many things steps out of pictures we are used to see on retrospective exibitions, because Davor Gobac’s pictures are inspired by comics and pop-art, and Gobac made them in last couple of years.
“Welcome to exibition of my shapes” – he said to people, main showman of Croatian rock , whose pictures were inspired by real and fictional characters, which will he later pass throught his imagination filter. He jokes and calls that art group – “new pop”.
This exibition does not have selling character, and it will be opened in Klub Šibenčana till 28th of February 2009., and their interess for same showed croatian artists who were on opening like Ivica Propadalo, Arsen Dedić, Pjer Žardin.
Also, Davor Gobac celebrates his bday on 17th February, and on that same day new Psihomodo Pop album comes out named “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” with which band celebrates 25 years of their being on rock svene. First single from coming up album is “Domovine sin”. Psihomodo Pop introduced a video which was directed by famous director Radislav Jovanov Gonzo.
We should also mention, that the last day of February, when this exibition closes, Psihomodo Pop will be having promotional gig in Zagreb’s Boogaloo.
