Private Line is one of the bands who joined the “Rokkaa Lasten Hyväksikäyttöä Vastaan” (Rock Against Child Pornography) project and appeared as the headliners of the same named concert in Helsinki. Here is what about the taking part in the procjet and also Private Line said Illy, bands guitarist and keyboardist.

VENIA: Now, after the concert, how do you feel? What kind of experience it was?
ILLY: I’m feeling great like always after a good gig! It feels like I’ve had some kind of a mental sauna with everything purified inside.

VENIA: How did Private Line get to be involved in this charity concert? And was it easy decision to all of you in band to be part of this?
ILLY: I don’t really know how we got to play there but naturally it was easy to say yes to a good thing. It’s very hard to say no to a concert anyway and now we had a good reason as a bonus! Works for me.

VENIA:  How much background information about “Rock Against Child Pornography” project you had before this concert?
ILLY: I took a moment surfing the net to see what’s it all about. The principal is very easy to comprehend without history lessons anyway.

VENIA: What kind of influence do you hope this concert will have?
ILLY: I hope that people who got to know about this event will report all the bad stuff they see around more actively, like the net etc.

VENIA: And some questions about band… Tell me something about the Pirate theme of the band. Is that something you’re gonna keep in future, or is there something new coming, like ninjas?
ILLY: Pirates vs. Ninjas? Too much facebook for ya:) No, I think we’ll always stay on the pirate side somehow, even if we don’t show that so much. Let’s just see what’s coming!

VENIA:  New Private Line forum was recently opened. Do you read things that fans
write about you in internet?
ILLY: Yes I do, it’s cool to see all the pics they take from the gigs and to read what they think was working and what wasn’t.

VENIA: What is the biggest lie you have read about you or the band?
ILLY: It was about some fictive after party we never had with us frying very questionable things and making our fans eat them. Weird…

VENIA:  You were a part of Pepsi Max campaign in Finland. How did that happened,
and what kind of experience was that? Did you buy many bottles yourself?
ILLY: Our manager got that for us. It was fun to smash a BEP-song! And to get comments from people, “hey man, I’m drinking Pepsi from a bottle with you on it, WTF?” I haven’t bought them myself yet, hope that I’ll get one before its too late.

VENIA: Does Private Line have some big (or small) plans for the year 2008?
ILLY: It’s time to get our songwriting machine to run again.

VENIA: Are you planning to tour in Europe anytime soon?
ILLY: As soon as possible.

VENIA: And some words to your fans please…
ILLY: Spread the word and make us even bigger! Haha. Thank you so much for listening the great music we’ve made for you with sweat, blood and tears. You’re worth it!
