Naked. The band from Helsinki with very catchy name and special style. Famous for they kick-ass performances, great songs and awesome frontman Muffe with his Muff . Their new album is coming out in summer so we talked to Muffe, lead singer and guitarist.

VENIA: Tell us something about music you create.
MUFFE: Well I think it’s great. : ) as long as it touches you in some way I’m happy about it. Visit myspace.com/nakedofficial to check out some tunes.

VENIA: You have new album coming out, can you tell us something about it?
MUFFE: It turns goat piss into gold! It is better in every way than our previous records. We recorded all the basic tracks live so it is much more punkier and more rock than our last record which was very pollised. It’s called “SUPERSTATE”

VENIA: Can you compare new and old album? Which one is your favorite?
MUFFE: The new one by far. The last record has some kick ass tunes on it but this one is more naked as we now have a real band. And the songs are better.

VENIA: What is new song “No one’s perfect” about and what is video for it about?
MUFFE: The new song is very personal but basically talks about being who you are and that some time people change as they grow older and then there can be conflicts between people. The video basically shows us as we are, we don’t try to be something we’re not. Really honest stuff!!!

VENIA: You had few gigs in Italy and Germany, is there a difference to play in Finland and outside of it?
MUFFE: It’s always great to play anywhere, but playing abroad is cool cause you don’t know what to expect from the crowd.

VENIA: Who were influences for band?
MUFFE: KISS, Queen, The Who, Zeppelin, Todd Rundgren, The Black Crows, Prince, Hanoi Rocks, Beatles the list goes on and on…..

VENIA: How did the whole story about Naked begin?
MUFFE: That is a long, long story but the important thing is that NAKED is here to stay

VENIA: Why did you choose name Naked, does it mean something special to you?
MUFFE:  We wanted a name people can understand and remember like KISS. And who doesn’t like to get naked from time to time!

VENIA: I must say how great your hairstyle is (i make it sometimes to myself to ;D ); you are very famous for it, its like part of your personality, how did you got an idea for it?
MUFFE: I wish I hadn’t ha haa. It kinda started of like 5 years ago by applying a bit of hairspray and then things got way outta hand It’s my muff!

VENIA: Is it hard to make it every day? Or what is your secret?
MUFFE: Fuck yes! Trust me don’t go there! Well by now I have it down so it takes me 10 minutes if I’m in a hurry!

VENIA: Where did your name Muffe come from, also where did other band members nicknames come from?
MUFFE: My family started calling me Muffe when I was 1 year old. I never use my real name. And the same kinda thing goes for the other guys. I came up with the name Tikka for him when I was 3 years old (he’s my brother)

VENIA: You have new bass player, why did you choose him, not someone else?
MUFFE: Cause he is Europe’s best bass player! I shit you not!

VENIA: What can we expect from Naked in future?
MUFFE: The best of the best, good gigs and records. And 90 kg of stupid fun!

VENIA: And…since you were on tour outside Finland, can we expect you in Croatia soon too?
MUFFE: Next spring hopefully!

VENIA: What is your message for Croatian Naked fans?
MUFFE: Keep it real! And spread the philosophy of the SUPERSTATE!
