Suicide Silence have announced their new vocalist. Rumors were circulating worldwide that All Shall Perish singer Eddie Hermida would fill the void of recently deceased vocalist Mitch Lucker, and now, Suicide Silence have confirmed the recruitment of Hermida.
The metal collective hung its head in sadness one year ago after injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident killed Mitch Lucker on Nov. 1, last year. Lucker had been drinking on Halloween, and despite his wife’s pleas, the singer chose to drive his bike, unfortunately crashing in Hermosa Beach in USA shortly after.
After memorializing Lucker, Suicide Silence remained relatively quiet for almost an entire year, until a new recorded version of ‘You Only Live Once’ with a new mystery singer was released by the band. On Firday (Oct. 4), Suicide Silence officially announced Eddie Hermida as their new frontman:
