AMON AMARTH BRINGING JOMSVIKING TO BUDAPEST
Amon Amarth is coming back to Budapest bringing their latest studio release Jomsviking to Barba Negra Track on August 23rd.
Amon Amarth begun their music path in 1988 as Scum. The band was formed by Paul “Themgoroth” Mäkitalo who made his name in Dark Funeral. Scum was active utnil 1992 when the band was joined by new singers Johan Hegg. At that time the band beighs to use Nordic mythological themes and take over Viking imagery and thus the band’s name became Amon Amarth inspired by Tolkien and his Lord of the Rings trilogy. Six years later Amon Amarth signed for Metal Blade Records under which their debut album „Once Sent from the Golden Hall“ saw the light of the day.
On this tour Amon Amarth promotes their latest studio album “Jomsviking“, released by Metal Blade/Sony Music. Producer of that release is Andy Sneap (Testament, Megadeth).
