IN MEMORY
- BON SCOTT -
(09.07.1946 – 19.02.1980)
Bon Scott was born as Ronald Belford Scott in Scotland 9th July 1946. He moves to Australia with his parents with the age of 6. His fist band was called The Spektors, and later he founded The Valentines in which George Young played, brother of Agnus and Malcom. He meets AC/DC people in Sydney. Band leaders were Agnus and Malcom Evans, and the rest was Peter Clark – drums, Rob Bailey – bass and Dave Evans – vocals. Dave started to act like a true star, which was the reason why bandmembers kicked him out and replaced him with Bon Scott. He had many jobs before, so he was band’s bus driver and wanted to be a drummer, but they insisted for him to be a singer.
In February ’75 their first LP comes out “High Voltage”. Then they started to record their second album T.N.T. which comes out in December ’75. After that, their first album which was distribuited in other countries too was released and it was called High Voltage, same as their first LP. Many good albums came then like Let there be Rock and Powerage. The most famous album comes out in ’79 – Highway to Hell and places AC/DC with most famous Rockstars.
On 19th February 1980 Bon Scott passed out drunk , and in the morning they drived him to hospital where they pronounced that he is dead. He was cremated and his ashes are in Fremantle where he emigrated with his family when he was a kid.
