Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, had an interview with Boston radio station WZLX and talked about the possibilities for band’s new album. Rolling Stones had some great live performances this year as part of “50 & Counting” tour and will perform at Glastonbury later this month, after what they will have more gigs. Wood said that the band tries to fit recording session in their schedule. He also said that the band is playing better than ever.

Slovenian speed / heavy metal sensation VIGILANCE unveiled the third song from their debut album, “Queen of the MidnightFire” released on May 14, 2013.

One of the members of the Russian band Pussy Riot, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, a Russian court rejected parole. Tolokonnikova had a legitimate reason for the release, but her request was denied by the penal colony where she was being held, and for permeable opportunity for repentance. Tolokonnikova (23) is currently in a remote prison colony in Morodovia, a region known for its prisons, where she will spend two years in prison for “hooliganism motivated by hatred religious hatred.” Do not forget that Tolokonnikova is together with other band members convicted in August last year for anti-political performance in a cathedral in Moscow and has been in custody since last October.

During her parole hearing, Tolokonnikova told the judge: “I have spent enough time in the prison camp. I’ve had enough of studying it. Six months is time enough.” Her lawyer argued that she should be released because her five-year-old daughter and presented an appeal signed by several human rights activists.
In spite of everything, her release was rejected as she failed to show remorse and because she refused to walk to the Moscow prison and greet prison officer in February when she was in the hospital for severe headache.

Earlier this month, Tolokonnikova stated: “For me, the parole hearing means nothing. In our case, the government wants us to recognise our guilt, which of course we won’t do. I submitted the parole documents to show that they cannot break a person.”

Orchestral maneuvers in the Dark recently released album “English Electric” and the second single from the album, “Dresden“, was given to John Foxx on remixing. Remix is a dance beat with harsher synth sounds. John Foxx said: “OMG- it’s OMD!” “Dresden” will be released 27th May for 100% Records and will include B-side “Time Burns” along with remixes by Mike Jolly and Bounce Darkside, and iTunes bundle will come with Zebra and Snake.

KATAKLYSM have recruited ex-NEURAXIS drummer Oli Beaudoin to record their new album »Waiting For The End To Come« and to play the band’s upcoming shows starting on June 30th in Costa Rica.

“Oli played with KATAKLYSM before on the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise last year and he did a phenomenal show,”commented guitarist J-F Dagenais. “He is extremely talented, focused and ready to do the job needed. Some of you might be familiar with him from his work with NEURAXIS and session work with KEEP OF KALESSIN and BELPHEGOR.  We are very happy to have him on board and he comes wit a thumbs up approval from Max as well. We have one hell of a ride in store for you with this new album so let it begin.”

Max Duhamel, drummer of the Montreal based death metal powerhouse, KATAKLYSM, recently announced that he is taking a break from the band and won’t be performing on their new record. “I have been struggling with many personal issues the last year but lately, the main one has been alcohol,” commented Duhamel previously. “It’s been affecting my body in a very negative way  to the point that when I came home after the EX DEO tour we just did, I tried to stop drinking for few days and it’s been very hard without having any with drawls symptoms. I’ve also lost a lot of weight as some of noticed recently and I’m not in good shape.”

KATAKLYSM have released the following statement in response:

“We as a band of brothers stand by Max’s decision to get better and to rise from his demons. We all have them; some of us try to hide them and pretend they don’t exist, some of us have the courage to confront them. Max has shown strength to fight his. We stand by him and hope that he returns home when he is ready. In the meanwhile, I want everyone to know for those who haven’t seen the Iron Will documentary that this band’s story is one of drama, pain and the long road to victory. We will practice what we preach on our album and we will come out swinging hard and strong with this new record. We will find a suitable replacement and we will announce him in the next few weeks. We will not disappoint any of you. We have read the messages of encouragements you have posted; we have the best fans. The new album »Waiting For The End To Come« is tentatively scheduled for a late 2013 / early 2014 release. The album will be recorded by guitarist Jean Francois Dagenais and mixed by Zeuss (SUFFOCATION, HATEBREED, ARSIS).
