During their current European run in support of the bands most recent hardcore metal bomb, „Reborn In Defiance“, BIOHAZARDs Billy Graziadei just showed aging doesn’t mean anything to a veteran hardcore musician. The iconic guitarist and frontman got tattooed on stage while performing a sweat driven and crushingly intense gig at the Atlantik club in Freiburg, Germany.

“We pulled into the city and while walking into the club I passed by a tattoo parlor. Dropped in to say hello and met Tom Deyhle from Silverskull Tattoo. We had mutual friends and hit it off. I sat down for some ink before the show then had to split before we finished it so I asked him if he’d be into finishing it during the show. Tom thought it was a cool idea so he came down to the sold-out show that was probably one of the hottest shows we’ve ever played. During „Reborn“ from our new album “Reborn in Defiance” I finished my „Reborn“ tattoo. It took longer than we thought so we went into an old song we never played before called “Ink” off of „State of the World Address“… what an awesome time!” comments Graziadei.

“Another cool detail was that Tom used a wireless tattoo gun, the power for the gun was internal and the controller that he steps on was connected to the gun via bluetooth! Times change, sometimes for the better, sometimes not… glad this was one of the good times!”

“Occupied Tears”, the new video from singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, poet and political activist Serj Tankian, can be seen below. The song comes off Serj’s new solo album, ”Harakiri”, which was released on July 10 via Reprise Records/Serjical Strike.

Guitarist Phil Demmel of San Francisco Bay Area metallers MACHINE HEAD gave Digital Tour Bus a tour of the band’s tour bus. You can watch the footage below.

MACHINE HEAD recently announced plans to film a video for the song ‘Darkness Within’ in the Czech Republic. The track comes off the band’s new album, “Unto The Locust”, which sold more than 17,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 22 on The Billboard 200 chart — putting MACHINE HEAD in the Top 25 for the first time in the band’s 17-year history.

Ascending To Infinity, the new album by Italian symphonic/cinematic metal band RHAPSODY, has debuted at #44 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and at #69 on the Current Hard Music chart in US.

The album also debuted on the German Media Control chart at #32 last week. In Italy at #86 climbing up to #56 in the second week; in Hungary at #14, in France at #58, in the UK at #39 (indie charts rock/metal) and in Switzerland at #55.

Progressive metal giants Dream Theater launched a major North American headlining summer tour on June 15 in Rochester, New York. They are touring behind their 11th studio album, “A Dramatic Turn Of Events”, which had 14 Top 10 debuts around the world. It also produced the band’s first-ever Grammy nomination in the “Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance” category.

Australian metalcore band PARKWAY DRIVE is currently in Los Angeles studio working on its fourth album. The recording is due to take seven weeks, which is the longest time the band has spent on any album. Production is being overseen by Matt Hyde, whose vast resume includes SLAYER, SUM 41, ALKALINE TRIO, HATEBREED and CHILDREN OF BODOM.

Legendary British progressive metal frontrunners THRESHOLD have just revealed the official album trailer for their upcoming new prog masterpiece “March Of Progress”!

The release has been antedated – the album will come out on the 24th of August 2012!
